Hey Everyone !
We hope that you all are doing fine! If you follow us on Instagram (@goldenconnexion), you may remember that we were invited during the Paris fashion week by the talented fashion designer Nancy Coffee in order to discover her new collection. Her fashion show was truly awesome!
We had the opportunity to ask her a few questions to discover more about her.
I would describe my designs as identity, atypical, and mostly inspired by traditions and different cultures of the world. My goal is to mix modernity and ethnicity.
I would say that I am a 24-year old dreamer and a bit of a perfectionist. I aspire to play in the big leagues :D!
Ethnic, technical and minimalist.
I am still a little bit “afraid” to call it a “brand”. It may be because I am afraid that my idea would be quickly coded and labeled. Let’s say that for now I see myself as a simple designer of collections.
To show my collections? Since I was in grade 5, lol. I was always led and fascinated by fashion.
I really started as a designer after university. I got the courage to do it a year ago thanks to my experience at Elie Saab. I wanted to feel the stress of creating my own design from A to Z.
I would say that it is the fabric used for my designs. The fabric is usually handled over and over, weaved, even burnt, and all every aspect is handmade.
This meticulous work creates the ethnicity that you can find in my designs.
The most intriguing question and yet the most simple one lol.
My name is Nancy Coffi-Gadeau ahaha!
For the moment my creations are in unique production. Why? (I am preparing an international contest). But I can re make them depending on the demand on my upcoming website.
