Meet the creator of the brand C’cédille

We had the opportunity to meet the founder of the C’cédille brand. This brand specializes in handmade jewelry.
Without further ado, here is our interview with this exciting designer 🙂 !

• What is C’cédille? 

C’cédille is an ethnic and colorful jewelry brand created in January 2015.

Every single jewelry piece is hand-made; I use exclusively gold or silver-plated dressing, semi-precious stones, natural materials, and leather.

I am always aiming to stay true to the following three principles:

• The materials are of good quality
• I know where they came from
• Servicing my clients after the sale

• Who are you?

My name is Cecile, I am 35 years old and the founder of the C’cédille brand. Being an honest and spontaneous woman, I always love new challenges.

• Describe C’cédille in three words

Jewelry, ethnic, hand-made

• What motivated you to create this brand?

I have always been sociable, easy going and close to people in general, so the project of creating my own business kept running through my mind for years. After 10 years working in sales, I decided to do something different, and gain some freedom. I realized that what I was doing in the past was not what I believed in any longer. It all started with a trip, I left France to visit Mexico on a whim with only my bag pack and “Lonely Planet” in my hands. From Mexico I went to Thailand. These trips were two amazing experiences that gave me the opportunity to discover stunning landscapes, to meet people from all over the world, and to appease my desire to be open minded and totally free.  I discovered that I could add my skills as a former sales person to mix productivity and autonomy. I was ready to start my new adventure! My friends were my first “trial” clients, than I started to sell my jewelry.

• How did you come up with this idea?

When I was a child, I was passionate about every new fashion trend. Take for instance scoubidous, Brazilian bracelets, woven bracelets, and so on.   It is pretty obvious now that my passion for jewelry back in a day led me to where I am today. I originally come from a family of civil servants, but I decided to be different from them. I was the outsider of the family!

Thanks to the support and inspiration of people around me, I tested my products on them and after positive feedback I decided to sell them. I am a self -taught, tenacious, motivated, and a risk-taker, and it felt like I finally could achieve my dream, which was to create my own jewelry business!
I started selling online in 2015.

• What makes your brand unique?

The uniqueness of my brand is that everything is handmade, which enables me to customize them and also suggest custom pieces to my clients.

• What did you choose the name C’cédille?

C stands for “Cécile” with the little “extra” that makes all the difference.

• How can we get your jewelry?

You can find all my products on the E-shop www.ccedille-bijoux.fr (free delivery in France) or the shop @faubourg43  (43 Faubourg Saint-Martin street 75010 PARIS) where I have been sharing a store location with others designers for the past year.
