Babi one more time

Hello, hello dears,

We are back for the rest of the story of our holiday in Ivory Coast, YEAAAH !!

We told you about Assinie and its safe haven. Now let’s talk about the great experience we lived.

The Ivory Coast is a country located on Africa’s coast (for those who were not aware 😉
It is very famous for its cocoa (1st exporter in the world) and its and numerous elephants hence the name Ivoire (Ivorian people are also called the elephants). This country is best known for its atmosphere, the mood, the warmth and the good sens of humor of its inhabitants. The least we can say is that there is always something do to there.

We spent most of our stay in the capital (economic) which is Abidjan where we went out a lot and made unforgettable encounters. In fact we actually discovered what the word CHIIIIIIIIILL means lol !

Needless to say that we had so much fun : Lounges restaurants (which are implanted by hundred in the city), maquis (Ivoirian typical neighborhood bars, ideal to spend good moments) and the discovery of various markets (the most famous is Adjamé) …We were sooo busy hahaha ! 3 weeks of pure happiness!
People are so open that it is very easy to make friends to spend a good evening with.

Moreover, you absolutely HAVE TO make a detour to the lovely town of Yamoussoukro (the political capital). It’s a place full of wonders which host the largest basilica in the world, La Basilique Notre Dame de la Paix. Even bigger than the Basilique Saint Pierre in Roma, Notre Dame de la paix is built on an area of one hundred hectares and is surrounded by splendid typically symmetrical french gardens. A real treat for the eyes!
