Hello friends ;) Do you remember last summer 2016 ? We spent 3 awesome weeks in Ivory Coast. On that occasion, we visited 2 tailors in Abidjan to run up some outfits that we carefully imaginated thanks to some models on pinterest. Getting everything ready on time was such an assault course ! The tailors made us 4 long dresses (have a look at our previous article named « la folie wax ») and trousers suits. If we could, we would have brought more outfits but unfortunately we were not able to make it possible since we were very limited (2X23kilos / persons it may not seem much but it goes pretty fast lol). By the way, we can’t wait to go back there to buy as much as loincloths as possible because they are way more cheaper than elsewhere (2000 francs cfa = 3euros). Hello, hello dears, We are back for the rest of the story of our holiday in Ivory Coast, YEAAAH !! We told you about Assinie and its safe haven. Now let’s talk about the great experience we lived. The Ivory Coast is a country located on Africa’s coast (for those who were not aware ;) It is very famous for its cocoa (1st exporter in the world) and its and numerous elephants hence the name Ivoire (Ivorian people are also called the elephants). This country is best known for its atmosphere, the mood, the warmth and the good sens of humor of its inhabitants. The least we can say is that there is always something do to there. Hello EVERYBODY…! This summer we had the chance to go to Ivory Coast for the summer holidays. We took the opportunity to have a little break in Assinie, which is a tiny ivorian village located in the south-west of the country. To go through the 80 km that separed Abidjan from Assinie, we travelled in a local conveyance called « gbaka » which is a mini « mini » bus very friendly (the least we can say lol). Nothing better for travelling in the ivorian way. Often called Assinie Mafia, the locality, is first of all a little village where the locals live mainly by fishing and selling. Later, partly thanks to the famous song of Alpha Blondy (a well-known artist in Africa) which extolled the merits of the beautiful area, were built luxurious villas, straw huts and hotels (we have to admit that it's a dream location to settled down; palmtrees and awesome sand, what else can you ask for?)
