Hello EVERYBODY…! This summer we had the chance to go to Ivory Coast for the summer holidays. We took the opportunity to have a little break in Assinie, which is a tiny ivorian village located in the south-west of the country. To go through the 80 km that separed Abidjan from Assinie, we travelled in a local conveyance called « gbaka » which is a mini « mini » bus very friendly (the least we can say lol). Nothing better for travelling in the ivorian way. Often called Assinie Mafia, the locality, is first of all a little village where the locals live mainly by fishing and selling. Later, partly thanks to the famous song of Alpha Blondy (a well-known artist in Africa) which extolled the merits of the beautiful area, were built luxurious villas, straw huts and hotels (we have to admit that it's a dream location to settled down; palmtrees and awesome sand, what else can you ask for?)
